Most homes built today in the US are not designed to stand the test of time.  Cheaper materials and easier, less exacting building methods have become the norm.  At Skyline Development, we see things differently, thanks to our collective backgrounds in engineering, Silicon Valley tech start-ups, and Wall Street banks.  We incorporate the latest building science and the finest materials, so that our homes are designed to last more than 150 years.

In fact, one way we measure our success is by the longevity of our homes. We are not building for today; we are building for over a century from now and each and every decision we make keeps the longevity of the home in mind. This emanates from the belief that homeowners should have comfort knowing that their home, typically their largest investment, will age gracefully and can even be passed down to future generations. With this in mind, we believe the simplicity of doing the right thing for the home and homeowner is always the right thing to do and supersedes everything else.

Since one of our primary goals is building “permanent homes,” we naturally use the best building materials we can find. Steel, fluid applied weather barriers, hurricane windows, continuous insulation, and over-engineered structural supports are just few examples of some of the things we incorporate into the homes we build.  We also build faster than our competition, while maintaining the same “permanent” quality. In this way our only competition is the local building codes as all other builders simply strive to barely pass these codes, while we push their limits.

We build to these specifications because we know it will provide the best outcome for our homeowners.
